Parents, Swimmers and Friends:

Please come out and be a part of FLA's first home swim meets this year! First, we have our Sizzler meet Friday, February 1, 2008. It would be helpful if you child is swimming to come out and help the kids to the starting blocks, so they don't miss their event.

The Broward County Sub-JO meet is on February 2-3, 2008. The Sub-JO meet will be timed finals, so there will only be one session on each day. Warm up is at 8:30 am and the meet will start at 10:00 am. We will need timers, result runner, gate, hospitality and help with the awards. Volunteer sign up sheets are posted in the team room. This is a great opportunity for kids to earn service hours, if they are not swimming in the meet. One of the benefits of volunteering is that your parking ticket in the pool's lot will be validated, so it will be complimentary! Parking spots are available on a first come-first serve basis.

If you are timing, running results, doing the awards or working the beverage service, please check in by 9:15 am in the team room to secure your spot. Gate and hospitality volunteers should arrive at 8:00 am. Most of the positions we need help in require no experience and can be learned quickly on the spot. Anyone can do it!

We hope to see you there!
