BEGINNING AND DEVELOPMENTAL COMPETITIVE GROUPS |
| Structure |
Age first, then ability. These groups provide an entry level program for intermediate skilled swimmers and for those swimmers graduating from our Red group. |
| Red Group Focus
and Goals |
Teach the basics of the Freestyle and Backstroke, and introduce the basic fundamentals of Butterfly and Breaststroke. To improve skill proficiency in Freestyle and Backstroke to graduate the swimmers to White and Blue Groups. |
Red Group
LocalCompetition |
Swimmers ages 8 & Under can compete in Broward County “Sizzler” Meets. For all swimmers, we will also try to host one “Mini” Meet per month to introduce the swimmers to competition. Swimmers older than 8 years will be eligible to compete in Broward County sub-JO meets. |
| White and BlueGroup Focus |
Provide a homogenous learning environment as these young swimmers improve their skills and conditioning. They will also gain greater competitive experience, learn about racing, and become more aware of swimming times and goals. Practice time will be dedicated to skill improvement, drills, aerobic development, knowledge of competitive rules, and fun. |

Prepare each individual for their age appropriate level in the Advanced Competitive program |

LocalCompetition |
Will have an average of one meet per month. All Groups will compete in Broward County sub-JO meets and some FG-wide Invitational’s. |

Will compete in FG Junior Olympics, FG Winter Championships, and Division 2 Champs |
| Travel |
White and Blue Groups will have 1 to 2 travel opportunities per year. |

ADVANCED COMPETITIVE GROUPS |

| Focus |
Provide a fun and challenging practice environment that will allow each individual to reach his or her potential while being a productive team member. Advanced training concepts, race strategies, dry land training, and classroom time are added to a foundation of increased skill and aerobic development. |
| Goal |
Win local, regional, High School State, and National Championships; as a team and as individuals. We work with each individual to help them climb the ladder of success from local champion to Regional qualifier to National rankings. |
Local
Competition |
Will have an average of one to two meets per month. Age Group and Senior National Development Teams will compete in
FG-wide Invitational’s, Broward County sub-JO meets, and some Invitational’s. |
| Championships |
Age Group and Senior National Development will compete in FG Junior Olympics, FG Winter Championships, and Division 2
Champs. Nationals, Junior Nationals and Speedo Champions Series will involve Senior National Development as needed. |
