DEVELOPMENTAL COMPETITIVE GROUPS

 

  STRUCTURE
Age first, then ability. These groups provide an entry level program for beginner swimmers and for those swimmers graduating from the FLA Swim School.

FOCUS
Practice time will be dedicated to fun, skill improvement, drills, and aerobic development.  Swimmers will also gain greater competitive experience, learn about racing, and become more aware of swimming times and goals.

GOAL
Prepare each individual for their age appropriate level in the Advanced Competitive program.

LOCAL COMPETITION
1-2 meets per month.
8 & Unders have special Sizzler meets.
All Groups and ages will compete in Invitational and Developmental meets.

TRAVEL
Blue and HS Prep Groups will have 1 to 2 travel opportunities per year.
Swimmers ages 10 & younger will be able to travel with their families.

ANNUAL / STARTUP FEES
FLA Annual Membership Fee:           $75 / year / person (renew October)
USA Swimming Membership Fee:     $65 / year / person (renew November)
(Liability and secondary medical insurance for participation in our program)

Escrow Account: $50 deposit per person
(Money held on account to charge entry fees and purchasing items in our team store.)

Future Stars – $86
Red – $86

Blue – $107
Varsity – $107 (3x/wk – $87)

ADVANCED COMPETITIVE GROUPS

STRUCTURE
Age first, then ability. An advanced program for the intermediate to advanced competitive swimmer ages 10 and up.

FOCUS
Provide a fun and challenging practice environment that will allow each individual to reach his or her potential while being a productive team member. Advanced training concepts, race strategies, dry land training, and classroom time are added to a foundation of increased skill and aerobic development.

GOAL
Win local, regional, High School State, and National Championships; as a team and as individuals. We work with each individual to help them climb the ladder of success from local champion to Regional qualifier to National rankings and College placement.

LOCAL COMPETITION
1 to 2 meets per month.  Senior meets, Invitationals, and Developmental Meets
