Volunteer Positions

Timers – Get a front row to seat to all the action! Timers will use a hand-held stop watch to time races. This is an easy job and timers will receive training as well as work with other experienced timers.

Hospitality – FLA provides a Hospitality Room where food, drinks and snacks are prepared and made available for coaches, officials and volunteers. The Hospitality volunteer will set up meals and beverages and replenish food when needed. Menus are prepared in advance by Meet Director and City Staff.

Concession/Snack Bar – A snack bar can generate tremendous income for the team. The volunteer may be responsible for manning a BBQ grill to make hot dogs and hamburgers and selling beverages and other snacks.

Admission Gate – This position involves collecting admission fees and selling heat sheets to spectators.

Runner – Volunteer works from the timing office where results are processed. Once printed the runner posts results.

Awards – Volunteer will prepare ribbons and medals at meet for distribution to participating teams.

Hy-Tek Computer Staff – Hy-Tek provides all entries, psych sheets, meet timelines, heat sheets and official results. During the meet, the Hy-Tek operator downloads the times from the Colorado timing system after every event. TRAINING IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.

Colorado Timing Staff – The Colorado timing system operator monitors the timing system during the meet for accuracy, pad malfunctions etc. TRAINING IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
